Dietary planning

Halal and dietary catering options

Gyro City offers halal meat choices plus vegetarian and vegan menu paths; each guest requirement should still be stated precisely.

Halal and dietary catering options

Confirm the whole meal, including sides and sauces.

Greek salad can include feta, tzatziki contains yogurt, and cookies or pastries may contain animal ingredients. For a vegan adaptation, confirm every component rather than removing one sauce. Gluten-free ingredients are not a guarantee about handling or cross-contact.

For halal orders, give the required standard and ask for confirmation of the selected proteins and handling. No certification is implied by the cuisine name. Ask about labels and separate utensils for the actual menu.

01

Name the standard

Religious requirements, allergies, intolerances, medical diets, and preferences need different confirmation.

02

Choose complete meals

Plan a substantial main and sides for every dietary group rather than treating side dishes as the whole meal.

03

Label the handoff

Confirm how individual meals, trays, and utensils will be identified for guests.

Dietary questions tied to actual menu components

This is a menu-reading checklist, not a certification or a complete allergen matrix. Do not treat an unconfirmed adaptation as available.

Delivery and booking

Plan the handoff as well as the meal.

What is the minimum catering order?

The minimum catering order is 10 people. A platter's serving range describes its quantity; combine platters to feed the whole group rather than treating one small platter as a complete order. Check published prices and minimums.

How much does delivery cost?

Standard GTA delivery is $40, listed separately from food and HST. Outside the GTA, the standard fee is $60. Confirm coverage, access, timing and any special requirements for the actual address in your written quote. Review delivery and setup details.

Are setup and serving supplies included?

The Build-Your-Own Gyro Bar and Wrap Bar include setup and serving supplies in their published menus. For other formats, confirm serving supplies, setup, staffing, equipment and rentals separately. Setup does not by itself mean a server stays for the event. Review delivery and setup details.

Can I request catering for today?

Same-day requests need at least 4 hours’ notice, a minimum of 10 guests and confirmed availability. Call with your serving time, full address, headcount and menu flexibility; submitting a request does not reserve delivery. Check notice and availability requirements.
