How much catering food per person?
Updated · Based on the published Gyro City menu
For individual lunches, order one complete box per guest. For group packages, order the actual headcount, starting at 10. For platters, use the published serving range and round up: a Deluxe Mixed Grill Platter serves approximately 10–12, so two cover a planning range of 20–24. Appetite, meal timing and additional dishes still affect the final recommendation.
Use published platter serving ranges and wrap platter piece counts for the actual dishes. The portion and serving-size guide explains why a starter portion is not the same as a complete meal.

Work from the lower end of a serving range
For a cautious planning example, use 10 portions from a platter listed for 10–12. For 25 guests, two such platters may be short; three give a published range of 30–36. That may be more food than needed, so compare a 25-person package before deciding.
- One box per guest for individual meals
- Use actual guest count for per-person packages
- Round platter quantities up, then review the complete menu
- Keep starter portions separate from full-meal portions
What is in the Deluxe Mixed Grill Platter?
The published platter includes 2 lb gyro, 12 mixed-protein skewers, 15 pita breads, a large Greek salad, rice pilaf and three sauces. Its approximate 10–12 serving range is a better starting point than a generic tray-size assumption. Confirm how this fits the appetite and meal purpose of your group.
Turn headcount into an order without mixing units
Ten people means ten complete boxes or a package for ten—not ten platters. For a 25-person wrap order, count half-wraps separately from sides. For a 50-person shared meal, check the number of platters against each product's lower serving estimate, then review whether the menu is too repetitive or oversized.
What changes the quantity recommendation?
A full meal, a short snack break and a reception before dinner are different needs. Tell the team whether other food will be served, who is eating and whether guests arrive together. Published serving ranges are planning estimates, not a promise that appetite or leftovers will be identical at every event.
Count dietary meals as part of the total
If five of 25 guests need a different meal, the starting count is 20 standard plus five separately confirmed meals, not 25 plus five. Ask how the selected packages can accommodate that split. Keep the total visible and note the exact ingredients or handling requirements for each variation.

These compare counting methods, not equivalent menus. A whole-wrap equivalent does not include the sides in a complete box or package.
| Guests | Complete boxes | Half-wraps for one whole-wrap equivalent each | Deluxe Mixed Grill Platters using 10 servings each |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 10 | 20 | 1 |
| 25 | 25 | 50 | 3 |
| 50 | 50 | 100 | 5 |
The Deluxe Mixed Grill Platter lists approximately 10–12 servings. Rounding up can leave more food than needed: review the complete meal and compare packages. See actual wrap platter counts before assembling an order.
